Mohit Bansal’s Vision for the Future: Inspiring the Next Generation at ASCE PEC
Truly humbled to have been invited as the Guest of Honour by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), PEC Chapter, at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh. The event was a surreal experience as I had the honor of being felicitated in the presence of the Honourable Chief Guest, RERA Chairman Punjab, Sh. Rakesh Kumar Goyal, the President of ASCE India Chapter, Dr. HAS Sandhu, and distinguished PEC professors.
There’s something incredibly special about returning to spaces where ambition is raw, and the energy of youth is unfiltered — classrooms and auditoriums full of students buzzing with ideas and hopes. To be part of such an inspiring environment and to connect with the next generation of engineers and innovators was truly humbling.
Reflecting on the Journey: From Dreams to Reality
As Mohit Bansal, Founder & CEO of GMI Infra, I stood before the students and faculty, I shared not just the achievements of GMI Infra but the deeper vision that drives us — the philosophy that underpins every project we undertake. At GMI Infra, we aren’t just building infrastructure. We are building the future of how India thinks, works, collaborates, and innovates.
Mohali, once a potential IT destination, is already becoming the hub of innovation and development. Our flagship projects, from modern office spaces to residential communities, are a testament to this vision, with every brick laid symbolizing not just physical structures but the promise of a future where collaboration and innovation thrive.
A Call to Action: Building the Future Together
This wasn’t just another keynote or ceremonial moment for me, Mohit Bansal, it was about looking into the eyes of a new generation and sharing the responsibility of what lies ahead. It was a reminder that the work we do at GMI Infra is not just for the present but for the future. We are building for the minds of tomorrow, and we want those minds to be part of it.
In my address, I urged the students to step into the world of infrastructure with purpose, passion, and a sense of responsibility toward shaping a brighter, sustainable future. The journey ahead for them is filled with opportunities, and I have no doubt that their energy and creativity will play a pivotal role in defining the future of India’s urban landscapes.
The Responsibility of Leadership: A Personal Reminder
Some days, moments like these remind you exactly why you started. This event was one of those moments. It was a powerful reminder of the responsibility we carry as leaders — not just to build but to inspire and guide the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and builders.
At GMI Infra, we are committed to creating spaces that not only serve the present but also lay the foundation for future generations. Our work is not just about the physical structures we build; it’s about building a legacy that stands the test of time, rooted in values of sustainability, innovation, and collaboration.
Conclusion: A Vision for the Future
The experience at the ASCE event was a reminder that we are all part of something much bigger. As we continue to shape Mohali and other cities, we’re also shaping the future of India — a future that is built on collaboration, forward-thinking, and a commitment to the next generation.
Let’s continue to build together, for a future that belongs to all of us. The journey is long, but it’s one we can all be proud of.
