Mohit Bansal Leads GMI Elite Homes to Reunite PU Alumni After 35 Years

Chandigarh/Mohali – Imagine stepping back into the golden days of your youth—sharing stories, meals, and memories with your college friends, just like you did decades ago. For more than 70 alumni of Panjab University, this isn’t just a dream anymore—it's a reality, thanks to a deeply nostalgic initiative led by the PU Hosteller Group and brought to life by GMI Infra, under the guidance of its CEO, Mohit Bansal.

This heartfelt project, GMI Elite Homes, was made official with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Padam Walia (a passionate PU alumni leader) and the GMI Group team—Pardeep Bansal, Mohit Bansal, and Kunal Bansal.

A Vision Beyond Construction

Located near IT City, Mohali, along the high-potential Bharat Mala Road, GMI Elite Homes has been envisioned as more than a residential space. With spacious 3BHK S+4 low-rise buildings and thoughtfully designed amenities, the project reimagines what it means to live in a community rooted in shared memories.

But it’s the emotional touches that stand out. A clubhouse serving familiar hostel-style Rajma Chawal and communal spaces that encourage rekindling of old friendships—these are elements no typical housing project offers.

Mohit Bansal’s People-First Approach

Under the leadership of Mohit Bansal, GMI Infra is stepping beyond real estate. This project wasn’t designed for profit—it was signed as a no-profit collaboration, showcasing the company’s genuine commitment to giving back to the community.

Mohit Bansal, known for his grounded business vision and human-centric development goals, has played a central role in aligning GMI’s mission with the emotional values behind this project. In doing so, he demonstrates how infrastructure can foster not just convenience, but connection.

A Reunion to Remember

The alumni gathering, held on May 4th, was themed “Unbelievable: Dreams Come True.” The event, covered by DU Pulse, brought together former hostellers and GMI delegates who celebrated not just the launch of homes—but the relaunch of relationships.

Photos from the event show smiling faces, old friends embracing, and moments that feel like time never passed. It was more than a launch—it was a living memory.

GMI Elite Homes proves that when vision meets values, meaningful development happens. Thanks to Mohit Bansal’s leadership and the support of the PU alumni network, a new chapter in community living is being written—one where nostalgia meets the future.
